There’s a fresh breeze of creativity blowing through The Book Whisperers - and it comes with a spark of marketing magic! We’re thrilled to welcome Paul Krogh, our brand-new Marketing Director, to the team.

Paul is no stranger to the world of words, innovation, and imagination. Over the past decade, he’s balanced life between a renewable energy startup’s R&D and innovation hub, all while teaching and lecturing at a business school on subjects as diverse as Economics, Marketing, Business Ethics, and Philosophy. (In short, he’s got both sides of the brain firing at once!)

But long before academia and entrepreneurship came calling, Paul’s creative spark was already flickering. At the tender age of eleven, when illness kept him home from school, his dad set him the challenge of designing a logo - and that was it. He was hooked. What started as an ‘old English’ typeface doodle led to an early career in design, a passion for typography, and eventually a deep love for writing and photography. One of his photos even went on to win an exhibition in Paris - not bad for a man who once described his teenage poetry as “dreadful”!

Since then, Paul’s creative portfolio has grown to includebook design, CD covers, documentary filmmaking, and photography published in The Scotsman, magazines, and on posters. He’s even photographed Bond girl Honor Blackman, served as the official photographer for Copper Bottom Sunshine, and helped produce a charity cookbook distributed through IKEA. (We suspect he’s got a few good stories behind those lens caps!)

Now, Paul is bringing his wealth of experience, artisticflair, and marketing know-how to The Book Whisperers - helping us take our community, our books, and our authors to exciting new places. As he puts it himself:
“The work the CIC does is incredible and seeks to enrich andenhance people’s lives. Mary and the team have been doing this a long time - hopefully I can make a positive impact too.”

And here’s the part that should make all our members sit upand take notice: we now have a marketing specialist on the team - someone who knows how to connect great stories with the audiences who will love them.

So keep your eyes peeled and your pens at the ready, becausethere are new and exciting things on the horizon for The Book Whisperers community.
